The structure consists of a network of nodes and their connections, like our brain with its synapses and neurons, the internet with its net nodes and connecting lines or social networks with people and their relationships.
The installation consists of a hanging network of LED strips. Each intersection of two LED strips is linked to a sound. When a light pulse reaches an intersection, it triggers the sound and the pulse is split. A chain reaction of light and sound spreads through the installation. The audiovisual composition changes each time the installation is shown in a different location. Each site-specific shaping of the net creates a unique composition. The note length corresponds to the distance between two intersecting LED strips. The melody results from the assignment of crossing points and pitches. The dynamics of the net's behavior, and thus its audiovisual outcome, are determined by the algorithmic properties of its nodes and connections.

transforms the generative installation KlangNetz into an interactive instrument. Eight copper tubes can be played by visitors. Each tube is connected to the net, so that each touch triggers a light pulse that travels through the net. When the pulse reaches a crossing point, it triggers the corresponding sound and the pulse is split. Multiple speakers create a spatial sound experience where the sound follows the light pulses.
